I speak often about the importance of mastering cadences and that many composers fail at it badly, being this the number one reason of their composers block, in my opinion. They are an essential element not only of the learning process towards craftsmanship but a fundament of great musical themes . However, one of the things that great incidental music composers master is how to leave things in open on purpose, what is very different than abandoning a vague composition with the excuse of a โ€žvanishing decrescendoโ€œ (beginners mistake) Here an example that I found extremely beautiful. Should we study ๐Ÿ“š it ? https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=kPs4LlVizSk&si=IEOyttxR5xte9HDP
